The Luxury Pergola is a small business in Westfield, IN. We are a family business of Amazon and IU alumni bringing the first ever motorized aluminum, pergolas direct to consumer. This product segment represents the largest growing product in the outdoor living segment of the United States commercial and residential market. Until now, it has been too expensive for many, but our new design allows it to be shipped straight to the customer to enjoy.

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our team. As an Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient supply chain management. Your role will involve forecasting demand, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory while maximizing availability. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Utilize inventory management software to monitor inventory levels across multiple warehouses or locations.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records.

Demand Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to forecast demand for products.
  • Utilize historical data, market trends, and upcoming promotions to accurately predict demand fluctuations.
  • Adjust inventory levels and replenishment strategies based on demand forecasts to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

Optimization Strategies:

  • Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize carrying costs while maintaining sufficient stock levels.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend strategies for clearance or disposal.
  • Implement inventory control policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Generate regular reports on inventory performance, including stock levels, turnover rates, and aging inventory.
  • Communicate inventory insights, recommendations, and action plans to stakeholders, including management and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure alignment between inventory levels and supply chain activities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in inventory management.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance inventory control processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements or process changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Analyst or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.
  • Expert level skill in Excel is Required to work through reporting. All other software providers will be taught.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, including ABC analysis, EOQ, and safety stock management.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $65,000.00 per year
